The Empty Space In My Head

So what? Stuff happens in life and...who cares if you're ready, right? You just do it!

Rainstorms

I sat and waited for my love to return.
It was raining, and it was pouring.
And the tears kept hidden while my heart ached and bled.
No one could see the torment inside.
I wore a smile that spelled hope and eyes that sighed the patience of a lover's wish.

I long for the lingering feeling of your skin on mine.
The warmth of your breath one with the chilly storm breeze.

How long has it been?
An eternity of damp memories and puddles of glee?

I watched you.
As the rain fell and soaked through your spirit.
Flowing freely embracing you.
A liquid man in motion.

You beckoned me to come out of the shade.
To join you as you celebrate life with every drop that hit the earth.

I watched you.
From my own abode.

You came to me,
and held my hand.
As I try to sheild off the raging waters that drenched us.

I can't keep my eyes off of you.
And I tried.
I try to close my eyes.
The rain blinds me.
I try to close my eyes.
Even if I do.
I still see you.

So I sit in the rain.
Waiting for my love to return.

No Goodnights

you looked at me with eyes pale with indifference
you looked through me and saw insignificance
calling out your name in the dead of the night
no one hears,
no one hears.

and a distant howl haunts the moonlight

The silent screaming in my head
drowning out the chaos of sheets in my bed
lips quivering
blood rushing

we retire

we turn,
backs to each others
pooning is for couples
we're just a couple of fools

we retire
we retire

rythmic breathing
chest ascending descending
heartbeats rapidly slowing down

eyes with pale indifference
eyes with pale indifference
i don't want you to see

see me cry

yes i cry when you're not around
i cry when you're homeward bound

i cry
i cry

i cry out your name
no one hears
no one hears

no one's here

show me love
show me light
darkness fall
morning's distant
how can i show you when you're not here?

i close my eyes one last time

i retire
i retire

a distant howl haunts the moonlight
no one hears
i cry
as i retire...
